Ich bin ein kleiner Öko, auch wenn man es mir nicht unbedingt ansieht.

Hier möchte ich meine nachhaltige Alternativen zum Reisen, Campen oder auch für den Alltag vorstellen.

Holzsonnenbrille

Sonnenbrillen gibt es wie Sand am Meer, aber wusstest du, dass es Sonnenbrillen mit Holzgestell gibt? Das Teil ist nicht nur für Leute, die versuchen Plastik zu vermeiden. Die Holzsonnenbrillen von Woodfellas sehen auch einfach echt schick aus. Woodfellas hat übrigens auch normale Brillen.

Auf Plastik zu verzichten hat mehrere Vorteile. Zum einen steuert man der Umweltverschmutzung entgegen, zum anderen nimmt man keine Weichmacher auf, indem man aus Plastikflaschen trinkt. Doch auch Aluminium ist keine Lösung. Die Beschichtung meiner alten Flasche hat sich langsam gelöst und damit das Aluminium und die Schwermetalle freigelegt, die mein Wasser dann aufnimmt. - Geht gar nicht! Die Trinkflaschen von Ecotanka sind aus Edelstahl, robust, unkaputtbar und sehen auch noch schick aus. Verschiedene Verschlüsse machen deine Ecotanka zum echten Allrounder!

 

Lunchbox

Ecotanka bietet noch ein anderes Edelstahlschmuckstück. Die Lunchbox in groß und klein ist ein wahres Multifunktionswunder und für mich aus dem Vanlife nicht mehr wegzudenken. Zum einen dient sie natürlich hervorragend dem Zweck als Brotdose, zum anderen kann man sie (ohne Deckel) auf der Gasflamme erhitzen. Das ist unheimlich praktisch für "Reste von gestern". Außerdem ist die große Schale eine super Salatschüssel und die Pocketbox eignet sich nebenher auch als Müslischale. Ich spare mir also ganz viel Geschirr, was beim Leben auf kleinem Raum unheimlich wichtig ist.

Zahnbürste

Dass Zähneputzen auch umweltfreundlich geht, musste auch ich erst einmal lernen. die SWAK Zahnbürste hat einen auswechselbaren Miswak Bürstenkopf der ganz ohne Wasser oder Zahnpasta auskommt. Die SWAK nutze ich am liebsten am Morgen oder während der Fahrt. Das Gefühl ist ganz anders zum konventionellen Zähne putzen und tut meinen empfindlichen Zähnen und meinem ewig nörgelnden Zahnschmelz besonders gut.

Though you can't see it, I'm a bit of an eco. Here I want to present my must have travel items which are fair produced and help us to reduce plastic waste! Of course, they also work great in daily life.

There are so many brands for sunglasses but did you know, that there are sunglasses made of wood? Those are not just meant to reduce plastic, the sunglasses by woodfellas also look really great. They have normal glasses, too.

Plastic free bottles are great to reduce the plastic pollution and to avoid drinking softener. The stainless steel bottles from ecotanka are robust, unbreakable and look good.  Different lids make your bottle prepared for all situations!

Of course, it works great as a lunch box for your meals or on a hike, but you can also heat it up on the gas (without the lid). This is incredibly practical when living in a van because you save on dishes. The big lunch box is just perfect for a salad and the 'Poketbox' is great as a muesli bowl. By using those in multiple ways i have to carry fewer dishes around which is very important if you live in a tiny space!

Even I had to learn that there is also a way to brush your teeth in a more sustainable way. The SWAK toothbrush has a removable head out of the Miswak root and doesn't need water or toothpaste. I like to use the SWAK in the morning or during driving. The feeling to a normal toothbrush is completely different and protects my sensitive dental enamel.
